###ParamBox Storage Box v2 ###G. A. Tielke, February 2022
###Please consider this upgrade / replacement: ##Parametric Tray with Simple Latch Lid ##https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5539453
This is a remix of my original: >ParamBox Customizable Storage Box >by gtielke August 28, 2021 See that posting for more example pictures.
Creates 3d-printable storage box - with No Hinges. The size and other settings are parameters that can be set by the user. (Storage trays to fit inside can be made using my separate ParamTray project.)
This version allows the two parts of the box to be printed separately, so larger boxes may be created.
To Customize use "Open in Customizer" from this Thingiverse screen. (It takes a minute to open.) Use the sliders and scroll boxes to change the settings. Click "Create Thing" to create .STL file for your slicer.
If needed, use the work-around for the Thingiverse Customizer explained here by "Way of Wood": https://wayofwood.com/how-to-fix-thingiverse-customizer-not-working/
This is designed to not need any support or raft to print.
Customizer settings: Use the Customizer to set the overall size of the box. The size settings are for the outside dimensions of the box, excluding the brim, support rectangles, hinges, lock, and text. The inside dimensions will be smaller by the thickness settings for the sides and top/bottom surfaces. The brim and support rectangles print by default but can be excluded if desired.
Printing Text on the box: Three text strings can be provided, they print on the front face to the left, center, and right of the support rectangles. If the support rectangles are not printed, only the first text string will be printed, on the center of the front face.
Slicer settings: No support or raft should be required. Use a larger Infill to add strength to the locking mechanism, such as 50%.
After printing, clip off the three small break-away bits of filament holding up the sliding lock cylinder.
