The busts featured in these bookends come compliments of Scan the World, the world's premier archive of works of art in three dimensions.
The first bookend is a bust of an Italian peasant, which is housed in a private collection in Italy. The second is Queen Nefertiti, wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten of the18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, and possibly a Pharaoh in her own right. Her bust is a crown jewel of Berlin's Neues Museum.
Each bookend is about 17 cm tall (though naturally can be scaled to taste in your slicer), and is quite stable thanks to a tab that has been added to each half of the base. To get extra grip on exceptionally slippery shelves, however, you may wish to elongate these tabs.

Taking into account these print recommendations should yield the highest quality results
‣ Print slowly (<50 mm/s) to maintain the highest possible surface resolution ‣ Include 3+ shells to minimize the visibility of your infill (the denser the better) ‣ Nefertiti only requires support (the denser the better) below her chin and nose ‣ The peasant requires support (the denser the better) for the brim of his cap, chin, and nose
