This is a cute parametric lantern that prints without support.

Side notes:

-If the central mesh is too fine on a print, the print will have trouble. In order to remedy this, try making your lantern larger or your mesh less fine.
-There is a hole in the base of the lantern that will hold a candle, LED or other light source. The hole's radius is parameterized to 30% of the lantern's radius, but this can be easily changed in the SCAD file.
-The SCAD file was optimized by my friend Bowman, whose thingiverse page is here: http://www.thingiverse.com/bbo/designs
He also had the idea for the addition of a foot to the base of the lantern.
-A translucent filament looks the best for light diffusion.
