Modelo 3D Over-Engineered Drybox por 3DPMacGyver no Thingiverse

As the title says, this is an over-engineered drybox. I have uploaded 2 versions of the base; a version with no mounting holes and a version with (2) M5 clearance holes in the bottom. If you opt for the version with mounting holes there is a file named "M5 Seal Ring" you can print out of TPU to act as a seal if you want.

I printed the "pivot bushings" out of TPU to sandwich between the hinge joints. The bushings are optional but make the opening and closing of the hinge have more resistance which makes it feel much nicer.

For the 8mm rod in the spool rollers I used a section of scored up smooth rod i had laying around. You can do the same, source some 8mm rod, or print the rods...STL file is attached.

(1x) Drybox_Bottom Half (1x) Drybox_Top Half (1x) Lower Hinge A (1x) Lower Hinge B (1x) Top Hinge A (1x) Top Hinge B (1x) Gasket_Left (TPU) (1x) Gasket_Right (TPU) (1x) Gasket_Lower (TPU) (1x) Gasket_Top (TPU) (4x) Roller Spacer (2x) Spool Roller (1x) Latch Strap (TPU) (1x) Latch Hook (4x) Bearing Cap (2x) Pivot Bushing optional (TPU) (2x) Smooth Rod_Spool Holder (if not using 8mm rod)*

Optional Silica Bead Container: (1x) Magnetic Silica Container_Top (1x) Magnetic Silica Container_Base

Hardware Required:

(1x) M5 thread, 4mm pneumatic fitting (19x) M3 Heatset nut inserts (sized for 5mm OD x 6mm Length) (1x) M5 Heatset nut insert (sized for 7mm OD x 6mm Length) (4x) 608ZZ bearings (2x) 8mm X 134mm rods (see note above; can be printed if needed) (8x) 1/4" x 1/16" thick magnets (for silica container) (10x) M3x8 Screws (8x) M3x12 Screws (1x) M3x6 Screw

I printed the two main halves out of black ABS at 0.3mm layer height. PLA or PETG will both work just fine. Hinges were printed out of PETG.

I also uploaded the STEP file incase anyone needs a reference for assembly or if you wanna modify it and do your own thing.
