I needed to mount the new power supply and controller to the back of my printer, but the holes didn't line up at all. So I designed this customizable mounting plate as a go-between.

#Customization: The .scad file allow you to specify the diameter of each pair of holes, the spacing between those holes, the vertical spacing between the two pairs, the clearance around the holes, and the thickness of the plate.

It also allows you to add either a counter bore or a counter sink to each pair, ensuring you get a flush connection and that the screws don't pose a problem when attaching things directly to the plate.

When choosing parameters for your screwholes, especially the counter bore/sink, I would recommend consulting a standards guide to be sure your measurements are correct. The spec sheet I used when creating my plates can be found here.

The distance between holes should be measured from the center of the hole. If this proves difficult, just measure from the edge and add the holes radius to your measurement.

#Files: In addition to the .scad file, I included the .stl files for each of the mounting plates I ended up needing:

• M3 screws at 90mm (counter-bored) and 45mm (counter-sunk) apart, with a vertical offset of 0mm
• M3 screws at 90mm (counter-bored) and 45mm (counter-sunk) apart, with a vertical offset of 2.5mm
• M3 screws at 90mm (counter-bored) and 45mm (counter-sunk) apart, with a vertical offset of 10mm
• M3 screws at 95mm (counter-bored) and 45mm (counter-sunk) apart, with a vertical offset of 10mm

These are unlikely to be the sizes you will need, so it is advised to generate your own .stl files.

#Printing: I had the most success printing them up on their ends, rather than laid flat across the bed. It's a rather simple design, and probably shouldn't be used to hold too much weight. For my purposes, a 20% infill was sufficient
