This is a 3d Scan of a dragon head sculpture we made in clay, it was to test our new nextengine 3d scanner, The actual item stands 12 inches and is 6.5 inches across at the widest points. I'm giving this info in case the amount of plastic used to print is of concern. We have a Han Solo frozen in Carbonite that was actually gift wrap we made for an Ipad mini that I will scan and put up if anyone is interested, we're still learning how to use the scanner and are having difficulty with that model.

I do not have a 3d printer, I'm ordering a Makerbot 2 today, I am on the fence between the 2 & 2x models right now. So I have no idea how this item will translate into a 3d print.

The model is very large in size, in 3dsmax wireframe view the model is completely white, there's over 1/2 a million poly's on this model. I hope this doesn't effect the print time in the way a raytrace render is effected, if it does, The replicators from star trek will be available before this print would finish. If someone does print this, I would love to see how it comes out. If anyone wants me to upload frozen han solo in carbonite, let me know. I'm waiting on a spray to cover the model in for the scanner right now...
