Modelo 3D LED lamp wall mount por mattasmack no Thingiverse

Descrição

This is a wall mount for an LED lamp based on Ohmite's S series of LED heatsinks (see here: http://www.ohmite.com/cat/sink_s.pdf). The parts are designed to be easy to print, and the wall mount allows you to adjust the tilt and the direction of tilt of the lamp, and includes a shade.

When we moved into our apartment last year, I made some simple but efficient LED lamps for our living room by installing some Bridgelux LED modules on heatsinks, but for a long time I didn't have proper mounts for the lights. So I designed these!

Instruções

One lamp holder consists of:

  • 2x bracket mount.stl and 1x bracket plate (2 inch or 3 inch version, for a 2- or 3-inch heatsink) - OR - 1x bracket.stl (which is only a 3 inch version). The separate parts should be very easy to print; the single-piece bracket.stl is cleaner but will only work if your printer is happy printing 45 degree overhangs (or you use support material).
  • 1x swing arm.stl
  • 1x wall mount.stl
  • 1x shade.stl

If you printed the bracket in separate pieces, put #2 nuts in the bracket mounts, install one on either end of the LED heat sink, and then screw the bracket plate into place after putting a #8 nylock nut into its recess. If you printed the single-piece bracket, put a #8 nylock nut and #2 nut into its recesses and snap it into place around the heat sink.
Screw the swing arm into place on the bracket with a #8 screw; tighten it just enough to provide some resistance to rotation between the swing arm and bracket.
The other two holes in the swing arm are meant to be slightly undersized for a #6 screw. Tap the holes and install screws from the top, or just screw in a screw so that it forms its own threads. The screws should be longer than the holes so that they stick out underneath -- these will act as posts and sit in the holes on the wall mount plate.
Install the shade: It has a sort of button structure that will snap over one of the holes at the top of the heat sink, and a hole at the other end for securing it to the bracket with a #2 screw.
Install the wall mount plate to the wall with three small nails or brads. Note that the top two holes are angled down and out so that it resists torque and pulling out from the wall (probably overkill, but it works).
Hang the LED lamp on the wall mount piece. If you want to increase its resistance to swinging, make one of the #6 screws long enough that you can thread a nut on from underneath, and tighten it to finger-tight.
Ta daa!
