UPDATE 6/1/2021 I added a vertical version with a slot for charging. I preferred the placement just under my stereo so I ended up using VHB tape to attach the CD mount to the bottom section. Now I can still access the volume dial easily.
I modified this design to be a bit tighter on my Pixel 5 with a case on it. I also added a notch so that you can have the phone charging while using it.
