Fully functional 1:10 Scaled model of 4 pin SMD optocoupler or same package. Inspired by the discrete 555 model, and decided to make one similar. Couldn't find a model with hollow internal to fit components so I decided to make my own. 2 body and 4 legs required. Epoxy is optional, but eliminates air gap. Black filament preferred to absorb as much infrared radiation to avoid environmental noise. Insulation breakdown voltage ~100kV (could be improved by better insulation material) (this model uses air) Use any 5mm IR LED and 5mm phototransistor. 4 banana plug. Thats it! no soldering required.
