Ikea Tertial Diffuser ====

This is a detachable diffuser for Ikea Tertial work lamps.

I wanted the ability to add a diffuser to the desk lamp without modify the lamp.

I modeled the cover in fusion 360 and embedded 4 10x3mm magnets in cover. It is designed so that you can print two, imbed the magnets with a dab of superglue.

Instructions: ====

Print two lamp diffuser pieces. Get 8 - 10x3mm magnets ready to place in the housing. (Note: this is somewhat overkill and you could likely get away with just using 2 on each half). Carefully match up the polarity of the magnets so they stick to each other. Place a small dab of superglue in the holes Push the magnets into place and allow glue to cure.

Once cured, remove the shade from the lamp and slide one half over pressing it around the bottom of the shade.

(optional) With the other half glue your preferred diffuser material to the other half with glue. Allow the glue to dry then trim the excess.

If you don't want to cut the material it works fine stuck between the two halves.
