I scanned my head with an Xbox Kinect and ReconstructMeQT and then modelled up this little coffee mug shaped like my head. It works a treat :)

In the images you can see me using it as an M&M bowl, a cup-a-soup mug, and a coffee mug in which I've drawn a Blue Brain to celebrate the Blue Brain Project getting European funding.

This has been printed in Glazed Ceramic via Shapeways. I definitely wanted to make this a functional model that I could use; it did turn out smaller than what I imagined however.

You can see obvious limitations to the resolution output of the Kinect.
