Modelo 3D Q8 Dracula por Juhaur no Thingiverse

Descrição

This is the Q8 Dracula Quadcopter.
I have made several designs and this is nr 8.
There is a lot of quad designs out there but most are still the X design with all equipment mounted on top of each other, thus the quad looks like a pancake to me.
Wires protuding everywhere and not so aerodynamically clean.
The gimbal is most often under the craft so that you need long landing legs/supports and you bet you get them in the view for the camera.
The Q8 is designed for a Naza controller and you can use Naza arms if you want, but I have made a arm holder design that uses Naza hole pattern for fastening but a 10x10mm aluminium tube for the arms.
They become actually more stable than the Naza original arms and they weight less.
I have put a lot of hours into the design and I hope you will enjoy it!

Instruções

All RED parts in the picture is 3D printed.
I use G10 laminate for the top and bottom plate.
I have attached DWG files of the plates for CNC cutting, but also STL files so that you can view them, but they are not inteded to be 3D printed.
All parts are screwed together using M3 bolts&nuts or suitable wood/metal screws.
The Naza frame is taped in place and the Naza just dropped in place for easy access later on.
Fill the "apparatus room" with some soft foam to keep the Naza in place.
The arm holders have a 10x10 hole for the aluminium square tube.
I cut my tubes to 215mm.
One bolt keeps the tube in place. Drill your fastening holes on the tube for your motors and leg supports.
For streamlining and airflow there is a arm profile that you can glue or tape on the 10x10 tube.
A simple speed controller holder, not shown in the picture holds the speed controller with a wire strap.
Put some soft foam against the inner wall to keep your battery from vibrating as you push it in from the back.
A strap in the rectangular hole keeps the battery in place with some velcro on top.
The gimbal frame is made for a 50x50mm controller board.
The camera frame is made for a Gopro 3 but a Gopro 2 fits also.
It flies well and this is the second version of my 3D printed quad series.
Make a power divider circuit board and fasten it with double sided tape under the craft.
