Instead of printing the whole model, you just do a part of the shell. In your slicer change the settings of:

• Bottom and top thickness to: 0 [mm] It does not print a bottom and a cap.
• Infill or Fill density: 0 [%] You want it hollow, don't you?
• Shell thickness: 0.4 [mm] It depends on your nozzle size (mine is 0.4).
