Descrição
The idea of this thing is to allow a PCB to be mounted, offset from a surface, using 4 screws.
Often when I have to mount a PCB via its holes, I find that:
- I never have the screws that fit the PCB
- The screws will short against a nearby track on the PCB
- I never have the right 'spacers' needed to stop the PCB tracks from shorting against the metal surface it's to be mounted on.
- The holes in the PCB are not in a convienient location (often unevenly spaced)
This design addresses these:
- The screw holes can be adjusted in size in the .scad file (within limits)
- The screws press against the plastic mount, so there is no danger of shorting against PCB tracks.
- The mount has an inbuilt spacing to raise the PCB from the mounting surface. The height can be adjusted in the .scad file.
I made these for a custom PCB I was making, but the length can be adjusted in the .scad file so it should work for most PCBs, including Arduinos and the like.
Instruções
Note you will need to print two of these for each PCB.
I printed the example shown in 0.4mm layer PLA on my RepRap Huxley. It came out very clean and didn't need any cleaning.
