Descrição
A compact dice tower (roughly 60x60x100mm) with print-in-place fold down tray and integrated lid. When closed, functions as dice storage.
Version 5 has the lid integrated into the tray. There is also the older version (v4) with a separate, friction-fit lid that in my opinion is strictly worse.
Tower and tray are printed as one unit. Important: NO SUPPORTS. The axis around which the tray rotates is integrated inside the structure and the tray and tower are not separable.
After printing you need to open the tray using a moderate amount of force, and depending on your printer you may also need to use a sharp utility (Stanley-type) knife to remove any adhesions between the tray sides and the tower. The tray's front (lid) side is especially likely to adhere to the tower. See the attached schematic.
To open, have the tower with the opening upwards, grab with your fingers under the front wall of the tray, bend it slightly upwards and try to rotate the tray open. You will need to use some force to break any adhesions, but afterwards it should operate smoothly.
There's a small flange on the tray front wall to lock the tray into the closed position, so opening/closing should normally be done while slightly bending the front wall upwards.
Fusion360 original with full history and a STEP file export are included.
Use the V5 files; the V4 is the older, lousier version saved for posterity.
