I had this colorful cabinet that was custom made for the kids room. The knobs made by the carpenter kept getting loose and breaking. On top of that they were not very aesthetic.
We endured 6 years with this knobs getting loose and exposing the screw which worry us because that was the room for our kids play in.
Some months after I bought my Afinia it hit me. " - I can make one knob out of ABS plastic!!"
It took three tries, the third one was perfect. It screwed on the same wood screw tight enough that the plastic sticks to the screw and don't loosen up.
And I even had the same basic colors that the cabinet had, so I printed some of each color and it couldn't be more perfect!
It was the first time that the 3D printer solution beaten anything I could have bought in a store! (for me at least)
