Was thinking between a drawer or permanently opened ring holder and went for permanently opened ring holder for convenience.

Got the drawer idea from Bedside Watch Stand With Cufflink/Ear Ring Drawer by lesfac.

I also added cloth (worn out sock) to the watch stand so the watch doesn't slide as much.
