I designed this spool holder to have a solid and flexible system, able to manage small as big spools (up to 21cm), and easy to open/close.
This model need 8 ball bearings, which are placed in a way ensuring that whatever the spool size you use it will always rely on at least 4 of them. You also have a system of wedges ("cale") that you can configure as you need to avoid having the spool moving horizontally during the print.
