I had this suction cup RAM mount I wanted to make use of to mount an action camera in an aircraft. Almost bought one for $10 but then I remembered I have a 3d printer! This design is for the ball and camera mount only. Its meant to be used with 1" RAM style mounts and tripod screw cameras or accessories.
Print flat circle (camera) side down and use a 1/4 20 bolt that won't bottom out in your camera. For me that was a 1 1/2" long bolt I had laying around. You should use a rubber washer to secure it from unscrewing but I just cut a rubber circle from an old bicycle tube and it works great.
The hole was a little snug and I reamed it out with a drill bit but the hex was perfect.
