Descrição
This is a linear slider box to be used in conjunction with the software deej. Deej is software to control individual program volumes in Windows and Linux. Deej interfaces between windows using an arduino device and taking analog inputs from the arduino and mapping them to windows programs. More can be found about Deej at the Github below:
https://github.com/omriharel/deej
This box is meant to be used as a desktop device, and holds 7 linear sliders to control volumes. Personally mine is mapped as follows:
Master | Chrome | Spotify | Games | Discord | Windows sounds | Mic input
The bill of materials is as follows, along with prices I paid:
Controller: Arduino nano (clone compatible) | $13 for 3 USB cable: Mini-USB cable (included with my arduino) | Included Sliders: Bourns PTA6043-2015CPB103 (60mm slide length, linear resistance mapping) | $1.51 EA Knobs: Davies Molding 1300-B (Shallow trough sliders, other styles available) | $0.96 EA Bolts: M5x20 socket head cap screw Wire: 22ga wire
Total for 1: $22 not including filament or hardware
Wiring and build instructions can be found on the github site for Deej. Assembly instructions should be straightforward. Arduino slides into position and is locked in by 2x3 grid of pins.
Edit (6/24/20): Updated clip and lower box. Clip is now slightly longer to clip more securely, and lower box updated to hold arduino nano better.
Edit (7/20/20): Due to user request, added a 5 slider model. I haven't tested printing it so I can't guarantee everything changed correctly. Please let me know in the comments if anything doesn't work properly.
Any questions, please ask!
