This is a little scraper/spatula I made that uses a razor blade. It is a nice width that fits the build platform/makerbot well.

It's good for getting those builds that are sticking to the platform and won't come off. It's also useful for holding a hot platform down while you lift your object off of it.

it uses the 11-921 utility knife type of razor blade.

• get some 11-921 type blades like these --> http://www.stanleytools.com/default.asp?TYPE=PRODUCT&CATEGORY=UTILITY&PARTNUMBER=11-921

• print the attached blade holder object stl file (version2 lets the blade stick out more).

• carefully align the blade with the little pegs inside the blade holder and push the blade all the way in until its level. Using a solid countertop or workbech works good for this.
