Large clam sea shell scanned on a Digitizer using MultiScan and the Base Plate for support while scanning (Scanning shells can be difficult if the shell is very thin... coating them with a flat paint water based paint helps achieve good results).

Import the .stl and leave the orientation as it is. Turn on both Raft and Support. This will provide adequate support to build the shell up but minimise the amount of material to be cleaned away afterwards.... at the current orientation there should only be a small amount of support behind the shell and on each side.
This prints very well on a Replicator 2 (PLA) with 3 Shells and 35% fill... this essentially makes it solid due to the thin walls.
