Modelo 3D Alpha 386 - Model Rocket por CubicJank no Thingiverse

Descrição

https://xkcd.com/386/

This model is a copy of an Estes Alpha, and was created to prove that printed rockets aren't horrendously heavy. It pushes the weight savings a little more than I normally do (it was a competition after all), so I wouldn't call it an "everyday flyer"; it needs to be printed thin.

I used 2 top and bottom layers with 1 perimeter for most components, and 0% infill. The body tube is 1 (0.4mm) layer thick and can be printed in vase mode. The body sections will probably need a little sanding to fit. I used CA glue for all component bonding. The shock cord was about 2 feet of kevlar thread (https://www.mcmaster.com/8800k41), and I used a standard 12" Estes parachute.

I printed mine in PETG with an ABS nose cone. I wanted the whole thing to be ABS (it's 20% lighter), but my printer doesn't have a heated enclosure so ABS doesn't print well.

I flew it on an A8-3 with 3 squares of wadding. The 0% infill fins are very fragile, so if they break off print them with greater than 0% infill.
