These files are being shared around a lot in various places lately as more people come into ownership of older PIU cabinets and are looking for cheap bracketless conversion kits. If this is you, and you're considering using these for real arcade pads, please continue reading through to the end of the description.

I made these in 2019, over 6 years ago, when I was building a DIY home pad. The only comparison measurements I had were given by a friend, I didn't have a real reference model in front of me. As such, these parts are not fully arcade accurate. There are even some models that were designed with major measurement errors on my part which absolutely will not fit a real pad.

It has come to my attention recently that people are paying fabrication services to get these professionally printed for their pads; please do not go this route, you're going to be disappointed. If you're set on it and want to try to make it work, check lower in the description for which parts you should attempt to use, and double check the measurements yourself first.

If this is the case, start with the "C_Frame_AC_Accurate" and "LR_Frame_Dovetail_L/R" models, as these are the most up to date. Anything else is unlikely to fit. Be sure to double check the models in your preferred viewer or modelling program.

These models were never properly completed, and this post was left as a "work in progress" as such. However, do feel free to modify them to your liking, or use them for a custom home pad :)

C_Frame_AC_Accurate and LR_Frame_Dovetail models should be close to (if not) arcade accurate!

Nov 4, 2019: Added "Better x frame" files, which should be more accurate than the initial files. Still not arcade accurate, but getting there!

These designs are made for custom designed dance pads (both 4 and 5 panel), to hold both the arrow panel and sensors in place, meant for bracketless panels. More versions for bracketed and arcade-accurate designs will be uploaded eventually!

Large printbeds (300x300mm) can print the center panel frame in one piece. Smaller printers should print the split pieces.

Split pieces: PIU pad:

• 4 x center frame corner
• 8 x L/R frame left corner
• 8 x L/R frame right corner

DDR/ITG Pad:

• 16 x center frame corner

Full pieces: PIU Pad:

• 1 x center frame
• 4 x L/R frame

DDR/ITG Pad:
