NOTE: I have added another version that has the larger right bin split in half so there are 8 similar size bins. ........ ALSO, I noticed that the original LID didn't have the inside corners rounded off and I have fixed that. It will still close with the original lid, but the updated one it better.
I wanted a large sized custom storage box so I designed this one.
I know that there are plenty of cheap plastic ones I could buy, but I wanted to be able to print custom size storage boxes (in any color I want) and even make other storage boxes of various sizes to fit my items and needs.
This storage box is secure and the items will not move from one bin to another as you are carrying this one, even upside down. The latches are also secure and won't pop off easily.
I used 2mm X 300mm stainless steel rods for the hinges (that I found on Amazon). I cut one to a 219mm length for the back hinge (with a Dremel cutting wheel). I also cut two 40mm lengths for the front latch hinges. The holes for the rods are CLOSED on one end and secured with a M3x5mm screw on the other end once the rods are inserted.

The box dimensions (not including the lid) are 266mm (10 1/2") length, 147mm (5 3/4") width, 35mm (1 3/8") deep. Most of the bins are approximately 64mm x 69mm. The bin on the right side is 59mm x 141mm.
If it is of use to anyone else, that is a bonus.
Oh yes, I printed this one in eSUN PLA+ at .2 layer height and the ONLY SUPPORTS NEEDED is on the box latch area. The nozzle size was .4 and the line width was .45, with the wall widths being either 1.8mm or 2.7mm
NOTE: I should have mentioned that I set my "Bottom Solid Layers" to 999 in Simplify3D so that it never got to any infill.
I used Fusion 360 to design this so I added an .f3d file for downloading.
