This thing is a simple customizable spool holder for use with a dry box. The rails that the spools sit on are 3/4 inch PVC pipe. Each foot of the spool holder has a very small foot print (2 mm x 2 mm), so that the foot will penetrate a layer of desiccant beads and sit flat on the bottom of the container. The thing as published is designed to fit a Sterilite 20 quart gasket box, but can be customized for any reasonably sized container.

To construct, print two bridge parts. The material is not critical --- PLA or PETG will do. Cut two pieces of 3/4 inch PVC pipe to length. For the Sterilite container, the length of each piece should be 335 mm. Insert the PVC pipe pieces into the bridge pieces, and the holder is complete. Note that the flat sides of the bridges should face each other.

The PVC pipe can be cut using a saw or Dremel tool, but the easiest way to cut it is to use a ratcheting PVC pipe cutter, which can be had for about $14. The pipe cutter gives a clean, square edge, and it takes just a few seconds to make a cut.

The bridge part is customizable in python. You must have both python and openscad installed on your computer, and the python solidpython package must be installed.
