I have always loved my aquarium! My current setup is 125 gallon freshwater aquarium. It is absolutely packed with a thriving community of fish! I feed this community twice a day, morning and night, about a tablespoon of dried foods that I have mixed for them. This ends up presenting a problem for me, how do I travel out of town and still consistently feed them each meal?

I have never trusted the rotary type feeders, and I desperately wanted something better than the slow dissolve feeders. After buying a CR10S Pro, I decided it was time to learn how to design my own feeder. This feeder was designed on Blender! I have included the completed design file as a .blend file. Each part has been exported into .stl files. The number in (#)'s is how many of that part you need to make.

Install the motor with 2 small screws. Use a small AC Plug connector to wire the motor to be able to plug it into the timer. Then hot-glue the timer in place on the frame. Use a normal extension cord to plug in the timer to AC.

Once complete, if you set the timer for 15 minutes, it will get you 1/8th of a turn on the drive gear for the chain. This will dump 1 box of food into the aquarium. You can fill the top half of the chain which is 14 boxes worth, enough for 2 weeks if feeding once a day or 1 week if feeding twice a day!

I used this on my recent vacation and it worked great! Fish were well fed and I did not have to worry about it!
