An insert for the Gerber Axes with hollow handles, which makes it so you can load up the handle of the axe with all sorts of survival gear, fishing hooks, matches, Bic lighter, car key, etc. or whatever you can fit! My friend wanted me to sharpen his axe while he was away and i thought i'd surprise him with an upgrade. I asked if there was ever a knife that clipped into the handle or anything and he said it came like that, so i looked online and most of the hollow handle Gerber axes dont have this or a way to turn it into a sruvival gear container, so i eyeballed the dimensions and designed this. It's not perfect by anymeans but it's effective.

Instructions: Print 'insert B' if you dont want to fiddle with getting it to fit much, -but if you print 'insert A', Use 5-10% infill 2 shells, then take the printed part and dip the end which would be inserted into the axe in some boiling water (i used a tiny glass bowl for ranch or other dipping sauces and microwaved it for about 30 seconds) -Then quickly press it into the axe handle and let it thermoform -Then i took a hot glue gun that was empty and let it heat up and pressed it through the holes in the axe handle with the printed part still inside to make a hole exactly where i wanted on both sides -Clean up part with a pocket knife to where the pin can be pushed through with ease -i used 'original pin' and dipped the wide end of the pin part into boiling water and quickly pushed it through the axe handle and printed insert and smooshed the end up against the handle to thermoform it into shape so that there was zero wiggle of the pin when the lock part of the pin is put on the other side. (mine was 2mm too short so i lengthened the pin for ya) and i had to use a pocket knife to get the lock to clip onto the pin tightly but you may or may not have to do the same. -Finally, remove the pin and insert from the axe handle, load it up with survival goodies and put the insert back in and lock it in place with the pin and lock the pin in place with the lock part. Now go camping lol and dont forget to take your axe with you :) enjoy
