I fell in love with the idea of NASA's chainmail, but most of the stuff available here is for filament printers. When you put them on a resin printer, the bases will expand and glue together.

Thus, inspired mainly by Tailor's Hexmail, I decided to tweak it a bit. This is an original work, though derivative, made entirely within Windows 10 3D Builder (the .3mf file is attached, so you can see and tweak it!)

Anyway, since resin printing always expands the base layers a bit too much (otherwise they won't stuck to the print head), when scaled to 35% (roughly 2cm across), this model has rings large enough to give a ~5mm gap when pulled apart.

After you print and clean it, you can cut the bit closest to the vertice. The idea is for the rings to interlock and pull at each other at the center.
