This is my own desing, but it is heavily inspired by the MMuse tester remix: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2357531
I printed the above tolerance tester (date 4/5/19). Then noticed that I could free everything from 0.5 to 0.15 but not the 0.10 mm
It got me thinking: "where is the limit on my printer then..?"
So I made this. It has solid straight cylinders, so you can take them out and check the dimensions, inside and outside. If you can free them that is. Steps are 0,15 / 0,14 / 0,13 / 0,12 / 0,11 / 0,10 / 0,09 mm
As you can see, the slicer does not even recognize the 0,09 mm cylinder at all. So that is software issue, not a model or printer issue. So the 0,09 will be solid, but the rest will work. I really needed some force with the 0,10 cylinder, but even that was eventually free. Little or no problems with the others.
All the holes are 20 mm in diameter and the numbered cylinders are smaller as in the dimensions pic. Object height is 16 mm. You need to print it numbers to the bed side and hex holes up. No supports or raft needed.
STL exported with 0.01 mm deviation so the model is very accurate but also a 200 Mb file.
I made a slight chamfer for the edges on the hex 6 keyholes, just in case, so turn carefully if you use 10-20% infill. More solid or harder (my test was PLA) material could help.
Can anyone comment why the slicer (Prusa PE 1.41.3) wont do below 0.10 mm ?
