This is a printable version of the robot in MAID mod for Fallout 4 (Automatron DLC) made by modder Justice. Permission has been obtained from the creator.
NOTE: STL Files: 58 pcs (2 files need to be printed twice) Actual Parts: 60 pcs
Parts name should already explained where every parts belong to, but if you're still having problem figuring out where a particular part should go to, try loading the parts into any modeling software supporting STL files, the parts location should have been retained by the STL file.
I decided to cut the model into smaller pieces so that I can keep each printing session in around 1 to 2 hours, although there are parts that takes quite longer than that to print. The longest one is the chest, which takes over 3 hours to print. The part separation also serves for an easier way to paint the parts.
Total height of the finished print when assembled is about 28cm, time taken is roughly 30 hours, if printed non-stop...There are total 58 files/parts. Some repeated parts like the ribbons on the legs, I only include one copy of each, so it's supposed to have 60 parts.
some parts are cut in Fusion 360 with zero-tolerance cut, which means the parts fits together tightly, so some parts required sanding to fit together (Especially for FDM printers, where print accuracy is lower). On parts and peg-holes that lays on a workable (flat) surface, I did give a 0.1~0.2mm tolerance cut.
Future versions planned, like adding pegs for the ribbons to make them easier to put on, and fully rebuilt the models in Fusion 360 to remove low polygon facets. Current version is about 85% rebuilt, some parts are still in low polygon. Future improvements also include pose-able joints for the arms, neck, hip, waist, knees and ankles (which means she can be assembled and hold together without glue, at least temporarily).
Also I plan to make some original hands/weapons for her.
