Descrição
I printed several of the existing spool drawers here before finally creating this one. some had pegs on top that easily broke off and did not allow compression for a tighter action. Most of them had walls that were too thin and the customizable ones would only allow thickening of the side walls. I could easily crush the box with little effort and that wasn't going to work for my application. After two failed printings and much frustration, I opened Tinkercad and started from scratch.
I have thickened the walls to 4mm all the way around, removed the peg on top and replaced it with another hole for a machine screw. this will allow good compression so your drawers will stay in the closed position if tilted. I didn't like the half circle used for opening so I created a tab. I can fill the box all the way to the top this way, however I have included a holed version for those who would rather use it instead. -Happy Printing!
*I used eight M4x12 Machine screws for the top and bottom of each box. tighten to your swinging action of choice.
*4 top layers, 4 bottom layers, 4 shell thickness with 50% triangle infill and no supports and took about 9 1/2 hours to print each box. I recommend printing with a brim to keep sharp corners from warping.
