This is an improved version of my torso model. These work with the same neck ring, belly circle and back panel from my previous version so I did not include a copy of those in this posting. You can get those in my previous version posting. I have made the following changes.
-
Completely redesigned the shoulder rings. The new design is similar to Gordon Tarpley's design with an interlocking ring. This allows you to attach the shoulder ring and shoulder bell to the torso and allow it to freely rotate. The shoulder only comes off when rotated upside down. Here is a link to Gordon's video so you can get a better idea of how it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBYv5iC9-XA&t=276s

Included an option for a hinged shoulder bell. The hinge I used is an Everbilt 1 1/2" Narrow Utility Hinge available at HomeDepot (SKU 613541). You will need a hack saw and a bench grinder to modify the hinge to work. You will first need to grind off both ends of the pin. Next, measure the slot in the shoulder bearing and cut one side of the hinge to fit withing the slot. Place the other side of the hinge in the slot on the shoulder bell and mark the area to cut. Finally, mark and drill the holes for screws. I used M3x8 hex cap screws with nuts, but you can use different fasteners if you choose. I included a model of a screw cover to cover up the heads of the screws.

This version has a more smoothed interior. This will help to minimize supports when printing in certain angles.
-
There are two options for the back; one with a cut out behind the panel and one with a solid face behind the back panel like the first version.
