The eggbot from Trigubovich is really great. I made a view changes and extensions to adapt it to my needs.

• The height of the pin arm motor is adjustable.
• Since eggs are not spherical, the axis of the pin arm must be below the axis of rotation of the egg.
• The pin arm is moved by a spring.
• The pin arm and motor holder are also longer.
• The egg is held with suction cups.
• There is a holder for an Arduino/ motor shield.

In my opinion, Arduino Leonardo together with a Adafruit Motorshield V2 is easier to use than a CNC Shield. Costs together less than 10 $. The suction cups are intended for chains of lights, with a cross hole.
