Modelo 3D Computer wire tray por schneidp20 no Thingiverse

Descrição

This is a modular tray that plugs into itself to make a wire tray as long as you need. For me, this screws into the back of my desk to hold my mess of wires and power supplies off the floor. This Thing saved my marriage! :-)

Features:

  • there are three body stl files:
    1. main body with access holes
    2. short end body that supports the last section of the tray
    3. main body w/o access holes that you can cut to fill out the tray to an exact length
  • There are three cover stl files:
    1. single clip to retain wires
    2. full cover (but it doesn't cover the tray joint area)
    3. full cover with access hole (print 2 to complete cover)
  • small mounting holes and opposing larger holes for drill and screwdriver access.
  • stand-off on bottom for a small zip tie
  • can be mounted vertical (shown) or horizontal. For horizontal, the clip.stl or cover.stl will be needed to retain the wires in the tray

Each tray is about a 7 hour print. The body stl files have a print stabilizing bar that is intended to be cut off. However, the trays still join if you leave the bar attached.

IMPORTANT: This print has long thin extrusion traces that allow the extrusion to cool between passes. Using a typical PETG temp, I ended up with a print where the layers didn't bond. This may sound out of line, but my best success is to print at 265C! Do some test prints and decide for yourself the proper temp. I extruded at .2 layer with a .4 print head. Don't use a .3 layer because it causes a funky fill pattern and ends up with a really ugly print.

I'm not sure how well PLA will work because it's a lot stiffer. If anyone has trouble or success with PLA, please post your experience in the comments.
