Modelo 3D Naval Cannon por wersy no Thingiverse

Descrição

This is a model of a naval cannon of the 18th century. It is a British 24 pdr cannon of the type to be found on the HMS Victory circa 1805. They were build from 1785 to 1822. It is not just a simple model, it shall show how a gun-carriage was assembled in detail.
I tried to design the model as close as possible to an original. As it might have looked like, shows the "cannon complete.stl". However, because of the small scale, there are some changes needed.
If somebody wants it, I can split the cannon so you are able to scale up for printing a bigger model.

I want to give thanks to Steffen who took the photographs for me, because red parts are very difficult for compact cameras as I have. I think he made a very good job.
Thank you Steffen.

Instruções

Side part
Original:
width = 1.8 m, height = 0.63 m
The side parts are made up of two or more pieces which are screwed together by stud anchor.
Stud Anchor Bolts
Original:
forged coach bolt. One end has a round head square neck, the other end is short threaded.
Model:
M1.4 Threaded rods. M1.6 can also be used but will need to rebore the holes a little bit.
I used two nuts on each side and counter them because they easily get loose - and get lost.
If you don'?t want to use threaded rods you can take small nails with round head and insert them on both sides.
Stud anchor bolts with eyes
The eyes are bent 1 mm wire which are soldered to the bolts as seen in the picture.
Print Settings
Axes, clamps, straps and shim: layer height = 0.2, width = 0.3 mm
All other parts: layer height = 0.3, width = 0.5 mm
The wheels are one sided beveled. Take this side to the printbed to avoid of getting them bigger at the bottom.
Handle
The small handle is difficult to print. But you can heat a piece of filament and extend it till you reach a diameter of about 1.5 mm.
Just as well you can take 1.75 filament and bore up the hole of the shim a little bit.
