A classic impossible object, the ball in a box. My amazing mother used to carve these from a solid block of wood back in the day. My first ever 3d object i used 3d tin hope it prints! -My Mom carved these in the 70's and she got it from a book about Native American crafts i wonder if they had CC?

I printed it on a Rep 2 at medium settings with a raft and support, 15% infill 2MM layer height and 3 shells. I seem to get layer adhesion problems randomly a couple of inches off the plate I think i might try Whpthomas's "rock-solid build plate pad up upgrade" as well as his extruder upgrade the black PLA is "SainSmart" brand from Amazon and so far about half way through the roll have had 3 or 4 dreaded "air prints", due to slight diameter irregularities (a couple mm. max) in the PLA that stop it from feeding, but when it does print it looks real nice...

I have has good luck printing these on a rep 2 using Makerware to slice, No supports or raft. 3 shells, .15 layers and 50% infill. I love Whpthomas's ear raft supports http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:38272 I add one under each span that touches the build plate and one under the ball. I gave one to my mom she liked it, yours would too...
