When you replace a light switch or wall socket, occassionally the spacing between the fixture and the wall enclosure does not match. This is especially true if some remodeling has occured or the fixture was not installed correctly in the 1st place.

The attached stl files generate a 4-up set and a single spacer commonly used for that application.

Typically, a spacer is placed on the top and bottom fixture mounting #8-32 screws. If more spacing is needed, this item can be stacked to get the placement right. The spacer hole gives a tight press fit and the opening allows adding or removal as needed.

Yeah, I know these are cheap to purchase and available at most hardware stores that have a decent electrical section, but it is Sunday night and you need a couple of them now!

I printed a bunch of these out and found that the RAFT setting in SkeinForge worked better without using an INTERFACE layer - just the BASE layer. Also, this may be the one case where leaving the printed item on the raft serves a useful purpose in keeping the item in one place to store in your toolbox.

Mostly I built white spacers scaled to .08" high, but it occured to me that if you wanted to change the height of the spacer in the STL file(s) or in Cura by changing the "size Z" in the "Scale" button. You could also print out different colors of plastic to indicate the spacer height.
