Descripción
These files produce the case for the Airduino 4.3 Beta, an open source experimental Primary Flight Display (glass cockpit) for experimental aircraft. At this point, this project is still very much in Beta testing. Please visit the link above for more information about the project.
The files are as follows:
- AirduinoBezel. This is the front face of the instrument. Print as shown.
- AirduinoLayer2. This screws to the back of the bezel, and cradles the Arduino Mega 2560 and screen. Flip over to print.
- AirduinoLayer3. This is glued to the back of Layer2. It is printed this way to eliminate as much support structure as possible. Flip over to print.
- AirduinoBatteryPowerCover. Not used in the current version of the Airduino, but as development progresses, it may be. Print as shown.
- AirduinoPitotStaticCover. This is attached to the back of Layer3 with silicone sealant and screws. It provides airtight seals so that the air data chips can sense the pitot and static pressures. Print as shown.
- AirduinoSensorHolder. Optional part that I use to hold the battery and any other convenient chips (such as AHRS) when the system is not yet mounted in a vehicle. Ribs should face up while printing.
- AirduinoKnobs. These are knobs for the encoder switch. They all have slightly different diameter shaft openings to allow you to find one that fits well. Openings should be down to print.
