My favorite quad was the QAV 210. I've got many parts for it uploaded here on Thingiverse. when the bottom mount frames became popular I found myself flying a Hyperlite and the QAV-X and more recently the Obsession. Their great quads but I missed top mount. The CG felt better to me and most important my batteries never got beat up as bad. This was my first go at making "my" ultimate QAV210 like frame. Because I built this quad as my first KISS set up, it never became my daily flyer. Didn't find it to be "super simple". Not long ago I was going to rebuild it with current betaflight and decided that the frame wasn't what I'd design now so I made V2 instead. Which is the only reason I'm uploading this one. Unibody bottom plates on anything that's not a micro costs more to cut and of course when you break one arm you've lost all of them. I still feel this frame turned out good so I'll put out there too.
recommend for cabon cutting: http://www.cncmadness.com/home.html Bottom plate - 3mm or 4mm carbon (3mm is cheaper and lighter. also make sure it gets cut with the carbon weave perpendicular with the arms for maximum rigidity) Top plate - 1.5mm carbon 6x 25mm aluminum standoffs 12x M3 screws TPU camera mount should be printed on it's side and the SMA mount upright, both with suport on. Eigther a fairly denser infill or thicker walls is recomended. Only made a 40 deg cam tilt at the time so thats all there is, sorry. OH! and it really only fits a runcam min. They had just come out and made a true X 210 top mount possible. Use a right angle SMA pitail with the mount. The sesssion mount band is not needed but helps prevent the corners from slpitting down the layers.
