I have a narrow 2-car garage and the cars often crowd towards the center making is a tight squeeze for the right driver to get out of the door. This "sight" aligns the car to within an inch of where you wish. It works just like a sight on a weapon. Print in white and color in the indent with a sharpie. Park the car exactly where you want and have the most common driver sit naturally in the seat. Position the parking sight level with their line of sight and move laterally so there is equal black on either side of the front post. Attach to the wall and you are done.
