I never really liked the joystick, in the arcade or not (especially with fighting games), so I figured I'd remake the cover for this since I already made one.
I got the idea to use keys (Cherry MX reds in my case) after I started playing fighting games on my keyboard. Felt much better than a joystick, to me. The HitBox is another thing that popped up when I thought about this. It's not super ergonomic because of how small the box is.
I included two slightly different covers. One is the original size and the other has the ends cut off so that it fits my printer (220x220mm). I wanted to print it in one piece this time instead of cutting and epoxying it together.
The keycaps are also printed. I got them from here: Cherry MX Keycap by Zinko55: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:281103
I previously had the Zero Delay Encoder, but found that was limiting. I decided to convert it to Bluetooth using an Arduino Nano and modified HC-05 Bluetooth module.
Edit 11/07/19: I'm no longer using a Nano with Bluetooth. I switched over to a Brook PC/PS4/PS4 adapter for the sake of simplicity and convenience as it will, of course, work with PS4 and it has XInput for PC usage. (https://www.focusattack.com/brook-ps3-ps4-fighting-board-ps4-ps3-pc/)
