Hi guys.

This is my FLEX MOUNT DESIGN that I build for my Hypercube.

26.05.19 | UPDATE

- I have reworked the design for the whole E3D TITAN Mounting Assembly. The original design was not stiff enough and the heat bed fan duct was always hanging down. It can be now printed with softer materials like PETG and still be very rigid.
  • If you want to know the parts that you need and how to assemble the system you can now check the Assembly Drawing in the attachments.

Features:

ONE MOUNTING PLATE FOR ALL DESIGNS, FEATURING:
- Integrated Belt Tensioner - Insert Pockets for all M3 Nuts - Easy accessible 4 Hole Mounting Points for the different Extruder Plates - Can be mounted on the standard Tech2c bushing holders - Files:
  • Mounting Plate: druckkopftraeger_2
  • Bottom Slider of Belt Tensioner: schieber
  • Clamping Plate for Belt Tensioner: schieber_klemmplatte
  • Alternative Clamping Plate and Bottom Slider for twisted Belts (like Tech2Cs original design): schieber_asymetrical & schieber_klemmplatte_asymetrical
STANDARD DESIGN E3D BOWDEN MOUNT:
- Insert Pockets for all M3 Nuts - Zip-Tie holes for better fixing of the flexible cable tubing - Mounting Positions for Tech2cs Fan Nozzle, Radial Fan, Sensor Mount are identical - Files:
  • E3D V6 Mounting Plate: e3d_traeger_bowden
  • Mounting Bracket for BlTouch: bltouch_mount_bracket
E3D TITAN DIRECT DRIVE MOUNT:
- Titan-Direct-Extruder-Design - Large cooling fan nozzle for minimum air flow resistance - Mount for Bltouch - Zip-Tie holes for better fixing of the flexible cable tubing - Files:
  • E3D Titan Direct Drive Mounting Plate: e3d_traeger_v2 [NEW]
  • Mounting Plate for cooling fan: mounting_plate_fan_v3 [NEW]
  • Mooling Nozzle: cooling_nozzle_v2 [NEW] (This part needs to be printed with support "Touching Buildplate")

All Parts are easy to print. Except for the cooling nozzle you do not need any support structure. I printed all of the parts with a layer height of 0,2mm and a 0,4mm nozzle. Please feel free to remix my design and also add different sensor mounts if you like.

You can find the Assy as a Step-File in the downloads.

I CANNOT guarantee that my direct extruder design will fit on all hypercubes without any build size reduction. I tried to keep the whole assembly as compact as possible. Nonetheless I had to move the extrusion profile on the top front down (as you can see on my pictures) because my extruder was hitting it. I am also still using my external motor mounts which allow me to use the same build size as before.
