Modelo 3D Epaper display por smily77 no Thingiverse

Descrição

The charm of an ePaper display is its capability to show something without any power and using power only when the display changes. This enables to make IoT or other displays don’t require an ugly power cord and needs to be charged only once for moths.

Unfortunately there aren’t too many such displays suitable for makes on the market. (https://blog.squix.org) & (https://www.tindie.com/products/cxandy/azsmz-epaper-29-with-usb-to-serial/?pt=ac_prod_search) introduced recently a 2.9” one.

I tried to give the housing a bit of a conservative but today’s look. The outcome reminds a bit to a thermostat – which is pretty ok because that is exactly a similar form: “It hangs somewhere on the wall”, looks convenient, has a technical approach but isn’t dominant on the wall.

The printing was surprisingly difficult. Sanding the edges might become required (which I didn’t made so far – as you can see on the pictures). But then major is wrapping. I assume the structure of the front doesn’t hold that well on the bed as it’s broken. However probably it is a good idea to print it with PLA instead of ABS as I did.
