I got the pictured micro switch in bulk off one of the Chinese sites and wanted to make a cabinet switch box for lighting. I wanted to isolate the tabs in case I use higher voltage, as the switches are rated for mains. I also wanted it to be a clamshell design in case the box ever comes loose from the wall, it's less likely to expose wires.
