This is a little tool for drilling straight holes into the ceiling that also catches (most of) the dust that will fall while you are drilling. This reduces mess and also keeps the dust out of your eyes. The hole is sized for a 1/4" drill bit, and the slots on the side of the cup are crosshairs.

Unfortunately in this design some of the dust will still come down the drill flutes and on to you. The second photo shows an example, if you look closely you will see the worst of the dust that did escape. But this small amount will wipe up easily with a cloth.

If the tube were shorter, or the whole thing longer, then this might not be the case (ie the whole flute would be inside the cup). But you will have to make that version yourself.

I printed this on a Replicator 2 at low quality settings (works just as well and faster). No support necessary. Print it in the orientation in the file, with the open part of the cup upwards, so that the surface that you press into the ceiling is flat.
