You can use

Mechanical endstop
Optical Endstop
Metal contact

Wire up your endstop into your Z-min (using Marlin) and configure as a Z-Probe.

The Screw Contact Holder is to be used if you are going with option 3 above.

Please post up a MAKE if you made one or remixed it.
