Inspired by Arduino design and the iPhone Bumper, I present to you the Arduino Bumper!

By installing this minimalist case, it allows the Arduino to be placed onto a flat conductive surface without shorting it out.

The bumper press fits onto the Arduino Uno and Leonardo. Recessed grooves located under where the Arduino pins sit allow the back of the board to sit flat in the bumper.

Update: Arduino Bumper 0006 has mounting holes.

On an Ultimaker, this print took around 30mins when printed with PrintRun. I used Slic3r to generate Gcode with the following settings:

• 0.1mm thickness layers
• 6 solid layers on top and bottom
• 0% density (hollow)
• 2 perimeters/walls
• 0.4mm nozzle

When printed at these settings, the walls of the bumper are two solidly fused perimeters. Varying results may occur with different size nozzles. Please let me know if there are problems.

Note: The Arduino Leonardo might have a tighter fit because they do not have a clean cut on the top and bottom edges. I believe mine was scored and separated from a larger sheet when it was manufactured.
