I designed this for the GrabCAD/Figulo Ceramics challenge, but I missed the deadline.

Since it was intended to be shared, here it is too :-)

Wall thickness should be enough for professional ceramics printers. So I guess it will print fine on most home printers.

I use an Up! printer myself, so I just load and print it. Up! settings that worked for me:

Z Resolution: 0.3mm Base height: 2mm Part Angle<: 45 Deg Part Surface: 3 Layers Fill: Loose Support Dense: 3 layers Space: 10 Lines Area>: 5mm2 Angle<: 50 Deg

Stable support: On Unsolid model: On Raft: On Speed: Fine

While it fits on the platform as oriented in the file, I chose to rotate it 45 on the z-axis before printing, just to be safe.

I used the apply-thin-ABS-sludge-to-platform method to prevent curling/warping.

I lack in-depth knowledge about other home printers, but I think it will pose no real problems. Or just use a professional print site and have it printed for you.

If the polygon count is too high for your software, you can use free meshlab to reduce using the quadric edge collapse decimation filter.
