Fill the remaining grooves on the surface of the PLA models and build a thick coat to further protect it. This way is suitable for models with simple shapes, but it is not suitable for models with complex shapes.

• Ventilate the room during painting/drying/vaporing
• Do not place the painted PLA models near the fire

##🛒Requirements ###🎨For Lacquering

• 1 x Sanding sealer
  • Choose a sanding sealer containing nitrocellulose as a substrate
  • Choose a sanding sealer with high ratio of ethyl acetate or butyl acetate as solvent
  • Use as a top coat of third layer
    • If you are concerned about patterns appearing on the painted surface, use the nail top coat
    • In case of emphasizing safety, it is good to use paint not containing nitrocellulose as top coat (However, smoothing with acetone vapor becomes impossible)
  • Mix with starch or ink respectively to use for under/middle coat of second/third layer
  • When mixing, slowly rotate the container
    • Bubbles appear when using ice cream sticks
• 1 x Starch (corn or potato etc...)
  • Mix with the sanding sealer and use it for the sealing of the first layer
  • Use ice cream sticks when mixing
    • When starch is mixed with sealer, bubbles rarely appear
• * x Refill inks for permanent marker
  • Choose your favorite ink color
  • Mix with the sanding sealer and use it for the painting of the second layer
  • When mixing, slowly rotate the container
    • Bubbles appear when using ice cream sticks
• * x Jam jars
  • Use as a container for paint mixed with sanding sealer and starch/ink
• * x Ice cream sticks
  • Use for mixing the paint of first layer
  • Use to substitute for brush
• * x Wet sandpapers (400-1000 grit)
  • Use to sanding each layers

###🚿For Acetone Vaporing

• 1 x Acetone
  • Exposure to acetone vapor for 5 minutes will smooth the coated surface
• 1 x Big jar
  • I used a PET jar and a polypropylene lid, but it good worked without dissolving in acetone
  • Use to upside down
• 1 x Paper towel
  • Drop acetone on a paper towel and vaporize it
• 1 x Aluminum foil
  • Stick to the inside of the big jar lid and place the PLA model on it
• 1 x PVAc glue
  • Use to stick the paper towel inside the big jar
  • Use to stick the aluminum foil to the inside of the big jar lid
